The NEW Nikon D3500 is here - Is it BETTER than the D3400?

Nikon D3500: D3400: D3500 Beginners DSLR Released

The D3500 has just been released Nikon and is the successor to the popular D3400 which came out not that long ago.

Let me know in the comments below: Who makes better cheap dslrs, Canon or Nikon?

I actually made a lot of videos on the D3400 over the last year or so and found it to be an incredibly good camera for beginners and those who were looking for a good travel camera.

It's specs and image quality are generally on par if not slightly ahead of Canon's similar cameras and it looks like the D3500 will also be continuing the trend.

So what will we see from the D3500.

Well like the S3400 it carries over the 24mp DX sensor which is definitely a plus as that was one of the better features on teh camera.

The D3500 will also continue to have its 11 point autofocus system and shoot at 5 frames per second.

Interestingly enough though, this camera will be even lighter than the D3400, coming in at just 365 grams for the body which is actually really quite light for an apsc camera.

Another step up is in the battery life which is nice to see.

The D3500 will see a boost of 30% over the D3400 and will be able to shoot 1550 shots compared to just 1200 on the D3400.

Both of those numbers are very impressive in the first place.

And another intereting change is that the buttons on the back of the camera have been moved around.

Unliek the traditional Nikon layout on the left hand side, all of the buttons are now located to the right of the screen which Nikon claims will make it easier for one hand holding.

We're still unfortuantely missing sa fully articulating screen which to me is a massive miss, especailly when you compare the camera to the likes of the Canon SL2 which has it.

And no real mention of an improvement of video specs which again goes to show that this nikon is generally going to be a photography specific camera.

Ill be getting a Nikon D3500 in soon so stay tuned for reviews on that.

That's it for today's news shorts, make sure to leave to a comment below and I'll check it out. I hope you guys have a great day and I'll see you next time.
