Hey there, my name's Chris Winter and in this video I'm going to go through some of the Best Cameras For Vlogging so you can get an idea of which camera might be best for you.

But anyway lets get on to todays question.

————————

"Hey Chris, I've been vlogging for about a year now and want to get a new camera. I've been using my phone mainly to vlog but think it's time to step up the quality. My budget is around $800 but if preferable, something a bit cheaper would be better. What camera would you think is good?"

Now my favorite camera for vlogging and the camera that I actually currently use for my travel vlogs is this camera right here.

This is the Sony RX100 and it's a fantastic camera in a small and compact package.

Now there are a number of different models of the RX100, this one here is the mark 4 version and they do now have a mark 5 version also.

Theres a couple of things that I really do like about the RX100.

Firstly, it's got a great flip up screen with face tracking so it's easy to see if you're in focus when you're talking to the camera.

It's also got awesome super slow motion, up to 1000 frames per second which when you slow it down in post, it really does look awesome.

Now the RX100 is a little bit more expensive depending on which version you get but if you want something much cheaper, I'd look at something like the Canon Powershot S120.

Now alot of vloggers began by using this camera because it's really easy to use.

It is a little bit older now, so it can be a bit difficult to find, but it does shoot in 1080p and has good audio quality which is important for vlogs.

Now one thing the Canon S120 is missing is a flip up screen, so if you want one of these, I'd highly recommend the Canon G7x or G7x mark ii.

I've owned the Canon G7x for a number of years and it's such a great vlogging camera. In fact it's easily the most popular vlogging camera on youtube.

It's got a great 1080p image, excellent image stabilization and it shoots in 60 frames per second for some decent slow mo.

Canon also make the Canon M5 and M6 line of cameras which are good as well.

They have a larger sensor and can also have interchangble lenses which can be great too.

On the Nikon side, i'd look at something like the Nikon D5600. Now this is a DSLR so it's a little bigger than the compact cameras, but you're getting great image quality.

It's also got that articulating screen which is great because you can flip it around which ever way you want.

One of the most popular cheap DSLR's you can get at the moment is the Canon SL2.

This was only just realeased and I think it'll be one of the most popular vlogging cameras for next year.

It's such a small DSLR so it's really not that diffiult to hold if youre walking down the street or even skateboaring like casey neistat.

The best hting about it though is it's awesome dual pixel autofocus. It's so quick to autofocus and it has brilliant face tracking as well which just works great.

Again if you want to move up again, you could look at the Canon T7i. This is a little heavier though but does have a few features which are a step above.

If you just want to keep things really simple though, I'd take a look at the GoPro hero 5 or 6.

These are awesome little action cameras that are essentially just point and shoots. You really don't have to worry about autofocus or changing lenses.

Pretty much wherever you point it is going to be in frame and now on these cameras they have a linear mode which gets rid of that fish eye effect that gopros are famous for.

So they were some of the Best Cameras For Vlogging, hopefully I helped you make a decision.

I hope you have a great day, and I'll see you next time.
